DISFELLOWSHIP - DEFINED

Disfellowshipment- A lesser punishment than excommunication in which the trangressor retains his/her membership in the Church but is denied the full blessings of the gospel. He/she may attend Church meetings but may not speak, pray, partake of the sacrament or otherwise participate in these meetings. After completing the repentance process, he/she may again receive the full blessings of the gospel.
