Book of John Whitmer - This was an official history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints written by John Whitmer between 1831 and 1838.  John Whitmer was appointed to "write and keep a regular history" by revelation...after his disfellowshipment, the First Presidency called on him for the records, but he refused to give them up.

Evening and Morning Star - The Evening and Morning Star was the first periodical of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was published starting in June 1832 in Independence, Missouri, until the mob destroyed the printing press, and was continued in Kirtland, Ohio, until September 1834. Each issue consisted of 8 pages and it was published once a month.

Messenger and Advocate - The Messenger and Advocate was the second periodical of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was published at Kirtland, Ohio, from October 1834 until September 1837. Each issue consisted of 16 pages, and it was published once a month.

Times and Seasons - The Times and Seasons was the periodical of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints published in Nauvoo, Illinois, from November 1839 until February 1846. Each issue consisted of 16 pages. During the first year (Volume 1) it was published once a month, and twice a month thereafter.
